Community Heroes Program:
Part of our mission as your neighborhood HVAC contractor is to acknowledge and reward members of our community who go above and beyond to help others. That is why we started our Community Heroes program. Each year we collect nominees and award one of the a new furnace or air conditioner courtesy of Bryant Heating & Cooling Systems and installed by us completely free of charge. In 2023, Paul and Nicki B. were those nominees.
Their Story:
As a husband and wife Paul and Nicki have gone on mission trips to North Dakota reservations and recently to Atlanta to help support the refugee population with everything from education to job placement. Additionally, when they wanted to start their own family they got trained on fostering special needs children and began fostering 3 toddlers. Nine months later they adopted them. They currently help advise and advocate for new foster families. In September 2023, Nicki was diagnosed with a rare cancer and began a treatment path with chemo and surgeries. In October, while on the way to treatment, they were hit by another car. No serious injuries but their car was totaled.
Their home had a Lennox Pulse furnace from 1991. A furnace which is getting harder to get parts for and was well beyond its typical lifespan. It also had an Aprilaire humidifier that was not working. It was only a matter of time until the furnace was going to finally fail and leave them with another large expense. We replaced their old furnace with a brand new Bryant 926 furnace, installed a new filter system, and got their humidifier working properly.
